About this tool
EAN-13 and UPC are retail product codes; Code 128 accepts text and is common in logistics and inventory; ITF-14 is used on shipping cartons.
For EAN and UPC the check digit is calculated automatically if you leave it out. For printing, SVG keeps the bars sharp at any size.
Frequently asked questions
Can I sell products with these codes?
The generator draws the code. To sell in stores you need official EAN/UPC numbers assigned by GS1.
Will any scanner read them?
Yes, as long as there's good contrast between bars and background. Dark bars on a light background are the most reliable.
