About this tool

Each letter becomes one or more bytes (UTF-8) and each byte 8 bits. That's why accented letters and emoji take more than one group.

Binary numbers are shown in groups of 4 so they're easy to read.

How do you convert binary to decimal?

Multiply each bit by 2 raised to its position (starting at 0 on the right) and add the results.
