Convert JSON to CSV
Move data from an API or a JSON file into a table you can open in Excel.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type or paste is sent to a server.
How to convert JSON to CSV
- 1
Paste an array of JSON objects.
- 2
Choose the separator.
- 3
Download or copy the CSV.
About this tool
Each object becomes a row and each key a column. Nested objects are flattened with dots (“address.city”) and lists are stored as JSON in their cell.
If your Excel uses a comma as decimal separator, the “semicolon” option usually opens better with a double click.
Frequently asked questions
What if objects have different keys?
Columns are created for every key and missing cells are left empty.
Are accents kept when opening in Excel?
Yes, the file is saved as UTF-8. If you see odd characters, import it via Data → From Text/CSV.
