About this tool
“Edit text” really changes the PDF's text: the page content is modified, not covered with a white box. The new text is still real text — selectable and searchable.
The document's own font is used whenever possible. Many PDFs only include the letters they use; if you type a letter the font doesn't have, that piece is written with a standard font at the same position, size and color, and we tell you when saving.
Limitations: text doesn't reflow onto other lines (if you type much more, the line gets longer), text in scanned documents, images or embedded elements can't be edited, and some special fonts aren't editable.
“Add text”, “Signature”, drawings and shapes are placed on top of the original content. Everything is processed in your browser: your PDF is never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change the text already in the PDF?
Yes. Choose “Edit text”, tap the line you want to change, type the new text and press Enter. The change is saved in the PDF's own content.
Why does an edited word use a different font?
Because the font embedded in the PDF didn't contain one of the letters you typed. In that case we use Helvetica for that piece and let you know when saving.
Can I sign a PDF?
Yes. Press “Signature” to draw or type your signature and place it wherever you want. You can also use “Sign PDF”, a simplified version for signing.
How do I delete a page?
Use the “Delete page” button above each page. You can restore it before saving.
Is it safe to edit documents here?
Yes. The document never leaves your device — everything happens in your browser.
